If you want to embellish any boy outfit this crochet car applique is perfect!
They are so cute and easy to make you will love them!
At the end of this post you can see the hat that I put those cars on!
It is so popular and whenever I make that hat I receive a lot’s of compliments!
It is a true joy!
So…. let’s begin! 🙂
I used this yarn www.ravelry.com/yarns/library/unitas-mirabela but you can also use some of these brands if they are available to you Aunt Lydia’s fashion 3 size 100% Mercerized cotton or “Patons Grace” 100% mercerized cotton or anything similar. If you want you can use any yarn and hook required for that yarn.
3 mm crochet hook
Ch 11, 1 sc in second ch from the hook, 1 sc in every chain to the end (you will have 10 sc), ch 1, turn, 1 sc in every sc to the end. (10 sc)
ch 1, turn, 1 sc in next 2 sc, ch 4, skip one sc, 1 dc in next, ch 4, skip 1 sc, 1 sc in next, skip 1 sc, 1 sc in next, skip 1 sc, 1 sc in next
1 sc on the side of the first row (in the “hole”)
1 sc in every ch (10 sc)
1 sc in the first “hole”, 2 sc in second “hole” of the side
1 slst in next 2 sc, 5 sc around ch 4, slst in dc, 5 sc around ch 4, slst in next sc.
Fasten off, but leave longer tail if you want because you can tie the car to your project with it.
Now you need to make the wheels.
Weave in ends and your car is ready! 🙂
