The other day my daughter told me that she got the invitation for a birthday party from her friend!
I jumped out of my chair in excitement …. WOOOHOOO ….. new cute project on the way!!!!
I love to use occasions like this to make some cute pink girly stuff! 🙂
Since I was in C2C mood I decided to make her a wallet and here it is!!!
I think she will love it too! 🙂
The wallet is made using C2C (corner-to-corner) technique. You need to be familiar with C2C technique to make it!

So, if you are ready, LET’S START! 🙂

For this pattern you will need:

  • Yarn

I used „Unitas Mirabela“, 100% cotton, weight: Sport/5 ply, 155 yards (142 meters) in 50 grams (1.76 ounces). You can use some of these brands if they are available to you for this pattern Aunt Lydia’s fashion 3 size 100% Mercerized cotton or “Patons Grace” 100% mercerized cotton or any other similar to these.

  • 2 mm crochet hook
  • yarn needle

Stitches used:

  • ch – chain
  • sc – single crochet
  • dc – double crochet
  • slst – slip stitch

First we need to make all parts hehe No kidding!!

Make 3 rectangles: one 11×27 squares, one 10×25 squares and one 10×4 squares like on the picture below:

Start working your first, multicolored, C2C rectangle.

Make two rows of one color, and two rows of second color. When you’re changing colors don’t cut the yarn, just pull second color through the loop and continue. Since we are changing color every two rows our color change is always on the same side. After the rectangle is finished we will make a row of single crochet all around and cover color changes yarn into that row.

Note: When you are making slst when decreasing make them loose because we will make row of single crochet at the end.

So, when you finish whole rectangle don’t fasten off, continue to work single crochet all around. When you have slst on your block make one sc in every slst, when you have ch make one sc in every ch, when you have dc placed horizontal make 3 sc around that dc, when you have dc placed vertical make 1 sc in every dc, when you are working sc into the blocs where your color changes are, work them around that yarn. Slst in the first sc from beginning. Fasten off.

Every block around must have 3 sc.

Make also other two rectangles.

I would recommend that at this point you weave in all ends.

It is time to join everything.

First join inside and outside of the wallet. Place inside of the wallet in the corner of the outside part and insert your hook through both sc of the sides and attach yarn.

Since our outside rectangle have two squares more insert your hook through 7th sc of that side, counting from the side, and 1st sc of inside rectangle. Make sc in every sc through both sides.

When you come to the end of the inside rectangle continue to work sc only on outside rectangle until you reach other side.

Now on this side we need to attach cover for the coin pocket. Join it the same way you joined inside and outside rectangle.

When you come to the end there will be 6 more sc to make only on the outside rectangle. Those are 6 sc that we left at the beginning.

Slst in first sc to finish and fasten off.

Now sew two sides of the coin pocket but be careful that your yarn is not visible on the outside of the wallet. When you are sewing go through the stitches like on the picture.

Tie a small button for closure.

Now make a loop at the center of the other side with about 10 – 12 chains. Attach yarn in the middle, make chains, and slst into that same stitch. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Tie a cute little button so the wallet can close.

I hope you enjoyed it and that you love your new wallet! 🙂
