So, if you are ready, LET’S START! ๐Ÿ™‚

For this pattern you will need:

  • Yarn

( I used โ€žAlize โ€“ Burkum Bebe Batikโ€œ, fiber: 100 % acrylic, 230 yards (210 meters) in 100 grams (3.53 ounces)) but you can use any yarn that you like working with
For baby blanket on the pictures (size 70cm/27.5in x 90cm/35.5in) I used 500 g of yarn

  • 5 mm crochet hook
  • yarn needle

Stitches used:

  • ch โ€“ chain
  • sc โ€“ single crochet
  • hdc โ€“ half double crochet

This pattern is written in U.S. crochet terms.

Start by making odd number of chains until you reach the size you like. This will be the width of your blanket.

Row 1: 1 sc in 2nd chain from the hook and in every chain to the end, ch 1, turn.

Row 2: *Skip one sc, 2 hdc in next, repeat from * to the end, ch 2, turn.

Row 3: *2 hdc between 2 hdc from previous row, repeat from * to the end, ch 2, turn.

Repeat row 3 until you are satisfied with blanket length.

At the end of last row make ch 1, turn,

Row 4: 1 sc in every stitch to the end.

Fasten off and weave in ends.

AND YOUโ€™RE DONE! ๐Ÿ™‚
If you would like to fold it into a teddy bear like I did here is a great video tutorial
